Is there a better holiday? Let's see...
New Year's - flushing the old crap - hoping the new crap will be better
President's day - I feel cheated, I don't work for the Gov't or a bank...
Columbus day - the world looks flat from here
Valentines day - unfulfilled promise becomes dreaded expectation
Memorial day - remembering the dead and fallen is not a celebration
4th of July - relatives mooch and filth up the place. 1 day off work is just taunting
Labor day - summer's over, what are we celebrating?
Sweetest day - Valetine's day's evil twin
Thanksgiving - more relative mooching and filthing, only now inside
Christmas - money's more than gone...more relatives
Halloween - expected to act crazy, can act anonymously at ease, no gifting required, lots of free candy, all the neighbors are out partying! What could be better, I ask you??

Sweetest Day(?) - Wha'chu talkin'bout Willis?
Oops, I forgot Easter. Religion, bunnies and eggs - there's got to be a conspiracy in there somewhere. That's what I'm talkin' 'bout...
Alright Scot, if you're not going to tell me then I guess I'll have to go to Wiki to find out: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sweetest_Day
Never heard of it!
sory, I thought you were kidding, man! do me a favor, stay uninformed!!!
yeah i've never heard of that one either
The American Indians of the northeast of celebrated after the harvest with feasts & games*
*some of the games being rather randy n sexy.
"Oops, I forgot Easter. Religion, bunnies and eggs - there's got to be a conspiracy in there somewhere."
LOL!
I think it's the funnest out of all the holidays.
Keep it that way, Lyr!
That's what I'm talkin' about, Jeff...where is that in our culture?? ahhh, civilization...
it's an odd concoction, isn't it RGM?
Yar, I like it! Just came from being served drinks by a devil with black wings, black nipples and red eyes (contacts). God, I love this time of year!
As great as it is, I offer the following rebuttal: Try being a teacher on Halloween. Or, even better, the day after. Changes your perspective on it a bit.
So, what's the deal Chuck? Do a lot of kids get freaked out? I know many schools have had enough trouble to ban the festivities, give us the inside scoop!
muahahahahah. look who's being as happy as a zombie! love the tune. happy halloween, Scott.
ps- what the hell is Sweetest day??
Excellently put! And BRILLIANT mix. Exorcist's theme might just be the spookier tune in the whoooooole world.
Wtf is Sweetest day???! Never mind, I don't want to know.
hahahahaa poe, I just noticed that you are puzzled by the Sweetest day concept, too :D
I don't know if freaked out is the right word--they just get over excited. They know it's coming up all week, so they get a little more out of control each day. Halloween itself is a wash, half the time. And then the day after? Well, they're ODing on sugar the whole day. Not a fun time to be in the classroom.
Alright, I'm getting a group together and storming Hallmark HQ, it looks like the whole of the midwest has been dupped outta some cash for a long time. Sweetest Day? forget I ever mentioned it please!
Anna, Poe - happy sweetest day...ppffffttt
Hey Chuck...sounds like a good time to use a sick day!!
And we mustn't forget Festivus.
Frank Costanza: Many Christmases ago, I went to buy a doll for my son. I reached for the last one they had, but so did another man. As I rained blows upon him, I realized there had to be another way.
Cosmo Kramer: What happened to the doll?
Frank Costanza: It was destroyed. But out of that a new holiday was born: a Festivus for the rest of us!
Colin, I wish I had subbed Festivus for Sweetest Day way up there; but then I wouldn't have you way, way down here under all that space....
...where I belong.
