never underestimate the MOGgers, I tell ya.

I had it all planned out see...I had recently started listening to some pretty hot pre-post rock fusion swells and planned out some inciteful text...like,
"whooo let me down this time? Whoose job was it to inform me that Larry Coryell's licks were more akin to Jeff Beck than the lighter acoustcal jazz I was expecting? Somebody had that cue..."
But no, it's all scrubbed. A peek at recent posts shows our very own lala confederate (I think)fjg posted from the same lp less than a month ago! Great tastes aside, you guys know I meant well, right??

You forgot to mention that I did a tie in a couple of days ago with his son's (Julian Coryell, who is probably that kid in the photo) song called "Asshole" from his cd "Rock Star."

    Just saying.

    fjg and dash are related?

That has more akin to Black Sabbath than Louis Armstrong and I don't have a prob with that. Monster Jazz. Like Like.

    Bonus cut from Cousin Joe:

I dunno if this track is as "hard" as Coryell, but it has a kickin' little drum intro that hip hop producers seem to like and a screaming guitar or two, perhaps more on the Bad Co. tip to Coryell's Sabbath.

Cody or Scotfree, I'm not at work and my littlemp3's aren't playing on mog, nor are rummy's PDQBum. Youtube and divshares right now are working. Did Mog pull the plug on them???

    Anybody else?

if you try to go to the littlemp3 site, teir "something went wrong" message pops up. I've seen that before, and it's been a temporary glitch. PDQBum and divshare are blocked at my work, so can't comment on those.

At least someone's got some rocking Larry Coryell back on MOG, seeing as my posts won 't play now cause of littlemp3.  That's Murali Coryell in the picture, Julian's older bro, and also a guitarist & singer, thought I haven't heard much, yet.  All three of em have an album called Coryells which is sweet.  Maybe some post material?  Julian's albums are awesome!  There's two version of his Rock Star album witha  few different songs, have both, maybe well get something going on that.  PS I'm not a lala denzien, just a wanderer...MOG's probably the only site like this I've ever stayed on for more than 5 minutes.  Woo,  Nice post Scotfree! Thanks for bringing it back and Post away!

hey, thanks for playing the (unknowing) foil up top. Have ya heard Coryell and Philipe Catherine's duet album Twin Houses?? That's what got me started on the whole LC trip, and as soon as I get it transferred over to digital from vinyl I will def throw some up.
Glad to see ya sticking around MOG...who knows, this place could once again erupt into the muisical volcano, so stay tuned!!
