Seems like ...And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead caught a ration of shit from some folks for the way they cleaned up and re-tooled this cut from the ultimate lo-fi Guided By Voices "Bee Thousand". It didn't help that while they do not take credit for the song, the cd does not designate that it is not theirs. At any rate, I think it's a pretty nice homage.

Hey Scott, don't have a clue who these guys are or the Guided By Voices "Bee Thousand" people, but I like the tune and will say it's gotta be a nice homage, but surely they should give credit where it's do. They've gotta know there are intelectuals like yourself that would find them out! Shame on em!

Never heard GBV? They're a Dayton, Ohio (my hometown!) indie musical collective fronted by Robert Pollard and his foil, Tobin Sprout. Good stuff, I'll post some later, but right now I'm headed to Chicago for the weekend. Have a good one!!
