Jackson Browne-"These Days"
I guess, after all is said and done, apologies are in order. So, here's to all my MOG brethren out there on our warming sphere. Been in one of those un-funky funks as of late. You know, when you sit there and stare at the screen after absorbing some delicious multimedia offerings with no thought percolating. My preference lately has merged in the instrumental lane, maybe that's why the non-verbal communiques are the fore.
Jazz is flowing as I do some re-arranging in the lab. Ambient tones help get me through the number-crunching daylight drudgery. The vocal songs that do make it to the player are old favorites, from the days when I couldn't wait to get home, sit back and plunk the needle down (on the vinyl!) This year has worn me down-and-out.
At least I put on my seasonal attire...

This will pass..I had it a few weeks back. Buck up..go roll in some leaves.
I guess if we're apologizing for being human, I'd better apologize as well. In the words of Kristen Wiig: "Sorry".
thanks guys...I'm just trying to prod myself into saying/posting (in the words of Todd R.)something/anything. Boo-hoo...the leaves are wet.
No worries, Scotty. I've been going through something similar. I finally stuck a fork in my a** today (ouch!) and got done on my MOG foot. I'm thinking about in terms of "coming up for air".

Aw dang! This stupid computer! Doesn't show that I've posted a comment so I hit the dang button again. I hate repeating myself.
scott for me there is a delicate balance that must be maintained through all kinds of music. Right now I have been going through that jazz tinged rock that is known as Canterbury influenced and have been pretty excited about what I'm hearing. Music I haven't really listened to in decades. Nothing wrong with instrumentals. Peace
Scotty! Dude!

It could always be worse
I don't mind reading your words in multiple LMI...makes the sentiment doubly sweet.
yes, cp3, we must retain our balance...I've been doing the same - relistening to Weather Report, Passport, Liszt...divinity
it's not bad Jeff, just wordless yet majestic. Pray tell me, who's that first one? And that's some short and sweet clinical advice there y'all...
Scotty, That first track is Garth Hudson Live at Wolftrap. Majestic yes, & playfully witty.
How bout them Bungles!
it all passes, and it is always grand to have good music help you along the way
Hang in there, buddy. We need ya.
See now sometimes silences and instrumental music are filled with so many words and meaning.
Try 65daysofstatic. One of the instrumental bands I adore.
Will check him out DMDM! Yes, Palmer's mortar was fully charged last week!!!
yes Kevin, regardless the output, the musical input is vitually non-stop!
Thanks Mark, strum on brother!
fond of the 'static myself Anna...they have many moods and I need to move them to the top. this is all therapuetic.
....sorry I'm late, Scott, but I just want to add to the others' sentiments.....it WILL get better----I've had many struggles with suffering myself, and in the words of Sting: "You will Find Light in the Darkness, You will Make some Sense of it......"
Hell, you may be feeling a lot better already---Take Care!
