    Let Me Down

You just need to stay on your feet, right? Be clever now, don't go for the knock out. Dance, dance, dance, and wear down your opponent. Spin sadly sweet tales of heartbreak, pull the puppet strings. Well, if you're "Boxing Clever" that's how to handle things. Aberdeen Scotland's The Little Kicks know the ropes all too well. You may have seen them sharing the stage with Foals, Maximo Park, Editors, The Rakes, The Kooks, Mystery Jets, The Sunshine Underground, Brakes, Maccabees, Errors, Frightened Rabbit, Lightspeed Champion, Cage the Elephant and Hot Club De Paris...or maybe as the opening spot for the recent Glasvegas UK tour. This is a busy, busy outfit, DJing their own Dirty Hearts Club nite that has garnered NME coverage for featured bands The View, The Presets, Rumble Strips and MSTRKRFT. The club nights have also held after-parties for the likes of Hot Chip, The Rakes, Cazals and Pigeon Detectives. Talk about hob-nobbing with the hot set...holy moly!!

Amid all this distraction, they've found the time to record their debut full length "Boxing Clever". Vocalist Steven Milne has been compared to Thom Yorke, and while the music draws parallels from Smiths thru Radiohead; it's acoustic adornment is charmingly endearing. Heartache never sounded so fun, dejection so alluringly desireable.
Now, for a limited time, mention you heard it on MOG when you order, and the band will kick in a free badge or t-shirt for the props!!

    If it's not Scottish...it's crap.
