WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

The party's in full swing. Whatever bug I've got, he and his clan are really rocking the joint. I feel like the three characters in "The Darjeeling Limited" have merged into one entity that's fighting an internal battle over which OTC medication would be the best to mortally succumb to. Owen Wilson is, of course winning, and his suggestion to triple the generic decongestant, double-up on the vicodin tabs (left from last year appedectomy, after which I don't remember being this miserable), and another big gulp of the nightime cold medicine/scotch concoction. Oops, just remembered that last one was from tonight's "Two and a Half Men". At least Chalie had the pleasure of getting his infection from some virus drenched floozie. On top of all that, in one minute it will be my birthday. I welcome 52 with the firm realization that 53 may be pushing the envelope a tad too far. Ah well, might as well lay back and enjoy the Dengue Fever...

  6. fistula spume says Happy B-day Scott! I hope you get better. You can postpone the festivities until you get better. Can't wait to see the Darjeeling Unlimited. So you're 52? And here I thought you were 35! I'll send some mental medicine your way through the astral plane. I don't want dengue fever but I love Dengue Fever. It sucks but they don't!

  7. scotfree says Chris - I try to keep the elder statesman status tucked under the rug, but yeah it is what it is. I'm going for incineration, unless anyone wants to come to a party like the one that wrapped up Heinlien's "Stranger In A Strange Land". Look it up. Nick - Well, the brew worked! Feeling much better today, just left with a bit of laryngitis - so no sing-a-longs OK? Ilay - Don't worry, the depression fades sometime in the late 40's. We celebrated on Sunday, just before all this started. And there is still some Easter/birthday cake left. My fave is yellow cake w/chocolate frosting! Yum, lunchtime! I liked "Darjeeling", but sort of in the way you remember a favorite dream. The repetition of the brothers' habits was mind-numbing in a french art flim kind of a way. Loved Wilson's elaborate story on how his face got injured, only to be contradicted by another story to his mother - yet no one asked which one was true, just a glance of recognition. Also, found it cool that Wilson's odd take-charge habits were confirmed patterned off his Mom. Liked this one enough to put it in the "watch again" category. For me that's about one in fifty. contra - thanks! it was short lived for me. Hope you and your clan are as fortunate!! SD - shucks, I'm feeling much better today, thanks! and that fine picture helped!! Sam - thanks bro, I type young. I'll be watching(listening) for that medicine! DF are really catching, eh? Can't tell you all how great it is to have friends like you all over the world! It's a great planet we have here! Rock on crew!!!
