A few days back, Zenpop hit us with a mystery song post. I failed. http://mog.com/ZenPop/blog_post/120659I even have the song, knew I’d heard it, and still failed. But, it is a great idea to challenge the old synapsii like that. Oh well, onward and upward. In penance, I now offer up a mystery song of my own. Take a listen to this early 70s piano driven psych ballad. Who is it?I'll put the answer in comments - eventually

Cody, that is an absolutely hilarious comment, as I just read an interview on this band the other night. They once snuck into a concert where Soft Machine was the supporting band by claiming they were Soft Machine!!!

Alright, I've messed around long enough. The answer is *ALICE COOPER* !!
That's right, same vocalist as in Zenpop's challenge. Thisone is from the original band's second lp "Easy Action"

I didn't look, I swear... my guess would be either Mott The Hoople or The Kinks... I'm probably waaaaaaaaaay off....
...now to take a look....
....doh!....
...ahh... revenge... a dish best served cold... I kept hearing a british accent...
Nice one, Scotty!

Well, that second lp - Easy Action - is prior to them finding their shock value but post learning to play. Some real cool songs sandwiched between rather painful memories.
