I feel like I've told this story on MOG before, but I got kicked out of my first band (in eighth grade) because I wanted us to learn "For What It's Worth" and everybody else wanted to learn the Music Explosion's "Little Bit of Soul." (A very little bit, in truth.)

Well, thanks for adding to the Springfield page. I was a pretty big Buffalo Springfield fan back in the day, and bought the box set when it came out a couple of years ago. I think that Stephen Stills hit his high-water mark with this band (OK, that first CSN LP was no slouch, either) and that is what I remember the band for. Neil Young I can take or leave, mostly leave.
But, having said that, I think the Byrds have a MUCH stronger catalog and deserve every accolade. Not that this is some kind of competition...

well, at least the buffalo springfield didn't need session musicians to play their instruments for them on their first record...
so there! actualy i like both bands almost equally.

they were ahead of their time for sure but really didn't make the impact they could of/should of........though we got CSN-CSNY out of it

hey now, i do have some Buffalo Springfields mogified, but admittedly haven't written of them. thanks for the rectification, scotfree. (:
This is a collaboration with Sonya and Shuie (a UK based duo) and I must say I am blown away by what they did to my solo acoustic cover. They did a beautiful job on this!
I sent them my raw microphone recording and they upholstered it with their Buffalo magic as follows:
Sonya did the 'morse' electric dub on her Les Paul copy, the handclaps and the high harmony.
Shuie played the Fenderbass, lead guitar and sang low harmony. He also put an extra high harmony on the final chorus.
Thank You to my friends Sonya and Shuie! You guys are awesome! See more of thier great work at:
