scotfree says Glad to share it Lrod, and welcome! I have this stuff locked in the player, it won't turn off! Looks like they have a new CD hittin' next month. Can't wait for that. Do you think this has even a smidgeon of rap or hip-hop in it? Or even punk? IMHO, nope. Is it dream, trance, classic rock throwback? How would you classify this stuff - not that important, just thinking. I gotta get to a beach soon.

poebegone says scotfree, i like this a lot. to ponder along with you, i definitely hear fuzzy guitars, droning, and layering characteristic of psychedelic rock and dream pop - except it sounds American, not British. hiphop beats - possibly but not undoubtedly. the beach! i haven't been for at least a year, how sad is that.

scotfree says I read an interview with the founders, Richard James and Francis Ten. They are long-time friends. James (guitar-voc) said he heard something in Ten's keyboard work that could be worked into a sound that had not been explored. Sounds to me like they are pretty successful in that goal. This is turning into one of those sweet obsessions where I just let it keep spinning over and over and over. Love it when one of those come along. "Lost myself inside of someone else" from What Are You Afraid Of hhmmm, I think I feel a series-post coming on
