Sunday Covers - MoTodd

Posted over 2 years ago
On "A Wizard, A True Star" Todd Rundgren did a medley of Motown hits that, for me, became more definitive than the original versions. Probably because I heard them here first, I am forever delightfully scarred with this Philly soul bastard. We make good bedpartners. In their presentation order:I'm So Proud (Mayfield)Ohh Baby Baby(Robinson/Cleveland/Benson)La La Means I Love You(Hart/Bell)Cool Jerk(Stroball)

  2. bubb says Great Post scotfree. Todd Rundgren has also done note for note perfect Covers on the entire 1st side of his 'Faithful' cd which was Excellent as well. That included great covers of: The Beatles - Rain Hendrix - If Six Was Nine The Beach Boys - Good Vibrations Bob Dylan - Most Likely You Go Your Way I Go Mine The Yardbirds - Happenings Ten Years Time Ago

  3. dermahrk says Yup, that version of "Cool Jerk" is off the wall, and my favorite in the medley. The maniacal laughter helps a lot.
