This song drove me nuts. I've recently been listening to it on Webb Wilder's "Last Of The Full Grown Men" and I knew it was a cover, but everytime I tried to get the synapses to direct me to the source, I kept jumping back to Peter Gabriel's "Big Time" - which bears absolutely no resemblence.I knew I'd heard it - I could sing along - so maybe Webb had a radio hit? Nah. So I was relieved when I pulled out the '89 Hunter/Ronson YUIOrta set. Bingo!

mktackabery - and he's someone I just learned of, stumbled on his vid for "Human Canonball" and thought, this is so cool - so 80's. Then I found out it was. Oh well, great music anyway!
anna - that is so great that you actually worked with the guy. I envy your profession - in a good way I think! Thanks for posting!!
GC - It is a fun tune, and virtually a carbon copy of Hunter's original. Maybe a little more punch in the guitars. Like I said above, check out Webb's "Human Canonball" vid. It's a great tune:
"Saw an ad in the paper, said the hell with it all
took a gig with the circus as a human cannonball"
you made me go watch it again!

Webb is great stuff - here's another tune from the same album Human Cannonball is on - found it on CD at a college radio "cleaning out the inventory" sale - one of about a half dozen amazing finds I made that day
