As one who is simultaneously indifferent/apalled/disgusted by my generation (especially during the TV news), the best revenge is to interact with another generation. Older or younger, take your pick. Be nice, accept the barbs with the roses, then do something to make everybody proud. (Re: 'The Pride of Jesse Hallam.")

Was there ever a generation that liked their generation?

hmmm...I always like to cheers myself up by reflecting that every generation was full of assholes.

I find this fact reassuring in a desperately optimistic kind of way.

If this doesn't work I just stick on "take me down to the infirmary" on repeat.......

As one of the peers you were interacting with, i'm not sure if I should be insulted or flattered or if I should just start drinking again.

    :)

Life does get better at 50..............

Eh, the term generation is a generalizing one and I'm allergic to that.

So, cue the music and rock on, B!
