I stopped over at Hype Machine and checked out the most popular tunes currently circulating the blog-o-sphere...and it was not time well spent.
Out of the 50 'Most Popular Tracks'...I am estimating that about 30 of those are remixes. Oh, here is the link if you wanna check it out
Am I the only one that finds these remixes dreadfully dull? Seriously, they bore me TO TEARS!
And it gets worse. It's one thing to have a thousand remixes of the latest MGMT single, that is lame enough...but people are remixing The Beatles and The Who now??? Insanity I say.(Maybe they're great, I have no idea...i won't listen on principle)
Did you see what the most popular track was?? Have they ever heard the original version of 'Baba O'Riley'??
Some songs just DO NOT need remixed.
