WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

The dinosaurs used to have all the power too

And record companies,I believe, will suffer the same fate as our dearly departed prehistoric friends if they can't avoid the flaming, 300 ton comet THAT IS technology coming at them.Back in the early MOG days(before the nifty song uploader was a feature) I used to make these lo-fi quickie youtube videos, just to be able to share songs with people. I mean REALLY lo-fi, like this:Just a simple way for, a consumer, to share the music I love with my fellow friends and consumers, right? But the geniuses at BMG were obviously threatened, and rightfully so, by me and the four other people who actually saw the video. JUST before the video got pulled, we were getting ready to set up a MASSIVE bootlegging and pressing operation out of my brother's garage...we had plans to mass produce the video on DVD and sell them at traveling carnivals.Seriously? Delete a fan video for copywrite infringement???I am posting the song anyway...hurry up and listen before it gets deleted, it really is a great song. And to BMG, I sincerely apologize for promoting your artists...in the future I will be sure to blog negatively for 6 months prior to EVERY ONE of your impending releases.Bastards! Bastards! Bastards!

  1. Bartleby says Lawyers do not really care about fans. Copyrights ought to be respected for the artist's sakes (everyone knows what happened to Charlie Parker) but it's plain silly to kill the word-of-mouth mill just because it could take away a couple of dollars. PS: "300 ton comet THAT IS technology coming at them" -- just fantastic phrase, B.
