They ONLY sing about the American experience...the smallish town, Midwestern suburban American experience as seen through the eyes of bored teenage boys...the same reason I LOVE them so much are why you don't get them...i totally get it :-) Who else is too American?? I am just curious

   Anna says Oh good :) Well, White Stripes are sometimes too American (I usually don't get them when they go folky), My Morning Jacket (sorry!), Springsteen, Grateful Dead, Drive-By Truckers, Dylan, bands that have major elements of classic/psychedelic/folk/country/pop punk/southern rock/blues rock, you get the picture.....I kinda feel bad for naming all these, but these are types of sound that just don't make it to my heart...please still love me :)
