I kind of, sort of thought that Alex Maas of the Black Angels sounded a bit like Jim Morrison, now I think he is almost imitating him. That being said...i still really like this new record.

mollifire says i just heard them for the first time a few days ago and been digging it since. (or maybe i heard them again for the first time.) i agree, there's something akin to jim morrison in the vocals. but a bit more clear, not quite so drug addled.

Lizziegreeneyes says imitation... sincerest form of flattery & if done well - for me NEVER a reason to dislike something... bands that can pull off a great Depeche Mode/New Order/The Smiths/The Cure/Joy Division/Pixies vibe... ALWAYS gonna get some Lizzielove :) I am diggin this track... I hear the Lizzard king... I like the Lizzard king - especially since I am the Lizzard Queen ;) The echo on the vocals really suits the song's overall vibe, yummy !!!
