Ben Gibbard and Zooey Deschanel Engaged!!

Multiple sources are confirming that Indie Queen Zooey Deschanel and Indie King Ben Gibbard, are now ENGAGED! Deschanel and Gibbard, 32, are "so thrilled," the source told Us. "Zooey was swept off her feet, and Ben is so excited."

Zooey is a well known actress, and one half of her band with M. Ward, She & Him. Ben is the frontman for two bands, Death Cab for Cutie and The Postal Service. This kind of seems like a match made in indie heaven. Apparently, they have been dating for over a year. I love all three bands, so I'm psyched. Maybe they'll record an album together?? A girl can dream.

This news came out in December, but I'm just catching on. Did anyone else know about this?

The news also comes right around the time when another music artist couple was not too long ago announced to have gotten engaged: Mandy Moore and Ryan Adams.

Maybe there is some singers dating singers trend going on, who knows. Zooey has also dated Jason Schwartzman from Coconut Records and Mandy was rumored to have been dating John Mayer awhile ago. Anyway, congrats all four! The sounds of love are in the air...Now I'll just sit around and wait for some newly inspired releases....
