WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

Back to Music, Vol. 2

Okay, after getting through the album, here are my favorite tracks so far:CD 1Makes We Wanna Pray - Christina backed by a choir, letting it ripBack in the Day - Shouts out to Etta, Coltrane, Miles, etc.Ain't No Other Man - The first single, I like the horns and other sampels usedWithout You - I like the chord progression used and there's even a bit of Lionel Richie's "All Night Long" in hereCD 2Candyman - Swing bassline, hip-hop drums, blues progression, funny lyricsI Got Trouble - Another blues, but with that old radio sound to itMercy On Me - I'm just a sucker for song pleading to God for mercy (yes, I'm a Jesus Freak, and proud of it!)Save Me from Myself - The most intimate song on the whole album, I think. Just Christina and a guitar. She even sings in a soft, unadorned style without all her usual vocal acrobatics and I find the effect dramatic compared to the rest of the album
