We all have them: guilty pleasures. Albums by artists that, at first glance, seem not to fit anywhere in our collection but we have some kind of sentimental value attached to the fluff contained within. Here's one of mine:
For some reason, I like to return to Miss Jennifer Love Hewitt's second album every once in a while. It's probably because I'm reminiscing about my teenage years in high school, when some of my favortite movies were "Can't Hardly Wait" and "She's All That." It's also ironic to me that Jennifer Love Hewitt has a really good voice and could probably out sing most of the teeny boppers out there, but she still chooses to act rather than concentrate on her musical career.Yes, her third album "Barenaked" might have enjoyed some success and the album was produced by Meredith Brooks and featured Jennifer's own songs, but I still like the pop-R&B of her self titled second album more. It's a good way to rest the ears before getting back to real music.
