First off I had this album forever ago, forgot about it for an inexcusable period of time, and then was like WAMHBM (wait a mad hot ballroom minute!!) that song rocked!! So I had to unearth it. Quick fact: It lends to being unearthed. Truth be told, Make Up we're way more amazing live than recorded, maybe that's why they'd fake live albums.
I'll admit I did the same with the Blues Explosion, as in forget about them for a bit, experience a WAMHBM moment. They were amazing live as well. They didn't fake live albums, they just said their name in their songs. Which still is awesome.
It is, I checked it on Wikipedia under awesome.
I have thought (and this is misguided as I'm placing the misguided prior to the statement in parentheses) that seeing the Make Up was as close as I'd get to seeing James Brown back in the day, and seeing The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion was that closest I'd ever get to seeing Elvis. Of course in the misguided "experience" section of my field manual.
True story.
Is the Kerrier District Album, true story. It should be your bidness (meth'd out kids slang for business). Something about this album, and the one prior, I don't know the stuff is almost cheesy disco stuff, but at the same time it's so GOOD.

Yeah, I got kerrier2 on my shopping list for next week. Pretty excited about it.
I really like this song, and it's one of the first songs where I started to appreciate Guy more so than Ian. I was always apt to lean towards songs sung by Ian, (Minor Threat imprints damn you!!), but starting with this song and others I was totally sold on Guy.

I haven't found too many other people on here preaching the Make Up gospel! Yay! Here's a post I did awhile back about them: http://mog.com/Kate/blog_post/17400
