I just cannot stop listening to Pete Yorn, Butch Walker, and Fall Out Boy. I'm not kidding. For the past couple of months, these three have been played over and over and making me happy.I hated the crowds at the Pete Yorn shows this past weekend, especially at the Wiltern. And the fact that I was eighty miles away from my husband. The House of Blues was pretty enjoyable though, shocking, I know. We got there right before Aqualung was finishing up, so we walked up the side and waited for people to "shift" out after Aqualung finished. Then, while they were "shifting" out, we sidled in, and ended up about third row from the front, and right in front of Petey. Man blew me away. I was able to throw the cute black and white and pink polkadot undies that I bought specifically for the occasion. He picked them up and twirled them (not as fun as Butch picking up the skull boyshorts I threw at him and draping them on the mic stand, but fun all the same).Homegirl in front of us was annoying and would not move up, even though there was about five feet between her and the girl in front of her. Her friend was up there dancing, but this girl was not having it.I was sad that Petey didn't play "The Good Advice," but he did play "Closet" (of course he did). And "Closet" is my absolute favourite song of his, so it was pretty great. There was also a huge lack of drunk college boys. The one thing you can depend on at a Petey show is drunk college boys. Not this time. Not at the Wiltern. Not at the House of Blues. Drunk college boys, where were you? This is a busy week for me. U.S. Mail Band on Tuesday (still trying to sell my stupid Cobra Starship ticket, boo!!), Maroon 5 (lameeeee, but man, do I like telling James about how boring I think they are) on Wednesday, and Matt Wertz on Friday. Busy busy busy!
