Cody B says Lovin' Bettye. This is a rare case where I think the comeback material trumps her early sides, but just for comparison, here's a few from the late 60's, early 70's. runobodyii says Thanks for posting these sides. I agree with you on the new material being stronger. And really it wasn't exactly the same voice; all those years have given her something, and no one seems more aware of that than LaVette herself. The ballads, the voice, her tenacity, much to admire in this old broad.
