All I can say is that Spencer blew away a capacity crowd at The Living Room Saturday night in South Berkeley. The man's material is very melodic and musical, while also wide raging in its emotive expression. Highlights are Spencer's vocal performance, which can turn on a dime from choirboy pure to Tarzanian wail, and some pretty fierce melodica playing. Spencer's richly layered songs are true windows into his soul. This is a MUST SEE live performance for anyone who enjoys a performer who really puts themselves out there on the edge. He is currently on a tour of the West Coast so keep an eye out for this native son of MOG.

"capacity crowd"- excellent term. Spence did rock flocks of socks in my opinion. His drum playin during Birds by Snow was highly impressive too. but the melodica was the high point of the evenin'.
