is Mother Mother from Canada. I happily stumbled across them long time ago, thanks to their video for "Touch Up" and instantly was hooked, which seldom happens. Fast forward 2011, and they released their third album Eureka from which this song really stands out, "Original Spin." Really does take you thru various spins and each spin I always catch something new. They seem to be pretty big in Canada

I can't believe I never heard this song until seeing some movie (sorry, forgot the name of it already!) which had this song as its opening theme. I knew it was an oldie, but who did it? I was only familiar with his songs on the Lindisfarne albums...and after listening non-stop to Lady Eleanor, one of the few examples of a bands "top pick" song that I actually like, I found the album Squire & Pipedream, which is where the "Money Game" comes off from. I like it mainly beca
This track is short and super sweet! Beautiful progression and awesome guitar sound. Great fragile yet commanding vocals. This comes from the 1972 album "In Side Out" by the English group Edgar Broughton Band. The album has a great sound, well worth checking out. The band is still rockin' and rollin' after all these years to boot!
So I finally got around to checking out the Alice Cooper albums - and the first couple ones really surprised me. The later ones too, some great glam pop on it. For some reason I expected it to be sloppy metal. Anyway, the first couple albums have some really cool and odd moments...sometimes very much of its time, and at other points, almost sounds like it could be off a current indie favorite, lik
