I've been delving into the video game music again. This particular song comes from the Final Fantasy X-2 piano soundtrack. I've never played the game itself, but the music is beautiful. That's one thing I've always liked about anime and video game music: I would never know that these types of songs were from the genres until someone told me.I've played the piano for most of my life - just about 13 years now - so I really love songs that solely or most have piano solos. This song is no exception. I tend to listen to this song when I'm winding down for the night, just relaxing in generally, but especially when I'm wanting to write a story or do some research for a story to get ideas. The flow of the piece just pulls me in and everything else just seems to fade for a bit. The sound of a piano piece like this just encapsulates my mind and I forget what I'm doing or where I am and can just focus on the music and clear my mind of anything. Am I a little obsessed with piano music? Yes. Is it worth the obsession? Most definitely yes.
