Artist: Album: Final Fantasy X-2 Piano Collections Track:

I've been delving into the video game music again. This particular song comes from the Final Fantasy X-2 piano soundtrack. I've never played the game itself, but the music is beautiful. That's one thing I've always liked about anime and video game music: I would never know that these types of songs were from the genres until someone told me. I've played the piano for most of my life - just about 13 years now - so I really love songs that solely or most have piano solos. This song is no exception. I tend to listen to this song when I'm winding down for the night, just relaxing in generally, but especially when I'm wanting to write a story or do some research for a story to get ideas. The flow of the piece just pulls me in and everything else just seems to fade for a bit. The sound of a piano piece like this just encapsulates my mind and I forget what I'm doing or where I am and can just focus on the music and clear my mind of anything. Am I a little obsessed with piano music? Yes. Is it worth the obsession? Most definitely yes.

Oh, how long has it been since my last post or visit to this site? Far too long. I hope you all have been doing well.

My post today is about a song that is growing on me. The dork that I am has been playing video games as of late and has noticed a song from one of the many games she plays that she did not really pay attention to before. "Sail Your Ship By" by Count Zero is a song that is definitely out there with style, but it's somehow attractive to my ears. Count Zero is the same band that produced "Radium Eyes" which I really do like.

When I first hear "Sail Your Ship By" I dismissed it after the first 30 seconds or so. After finding it on a video game I was playing I listened to the entire song and it really ended up surprising me. The way the sound progressively changes is a fascinating thing for me. Ever since I opened my ears and my mind to it, I've found that I can't stop listening to it. This sort of makes me wonder what other gems I'm missing out on just because I dismissed a song based on its intro.

Seeing as I didn't read the footnotes that one can only have one mp3 per post, I had to split up that entry.

Anyway, this second song by Lali Puna is also a favorite of mine from the 1st disc.

So, I guess that sums it up today for my Lali Puna craziness. I just have to say that whenever I look at the picture of the album cover with the bunny and the headphones and I start to think about the music that bunny is listening to, I can't help but smile and listen to these songs.

p.s. there's a way you can post another song in the comments of your own post so you don't have to do another full post. It's pretty simple really: open another window for mog on your mogpage. Hit the compose button like you'd do to make a post. Hit the upload MP3 button, choose your song & hit upload, let it do it's thing. When it's uploaded highlight & copy the uploaded MP3 code, then paste the code in your comments of your main post . Make sure to delete the "fake" post too & not post it.

Ah-ha. Slick idea. I'll have to use that next time. I was wondering how you were doing that with your posts.
