This is scarey news for Duran Duran fans. It seems they've switched out their normal JT - John Taylor, that is - for the more frightening but way-less talented Justin Timberlake. Timbaland's also adding some flare to their new album, amd I can deal with him, even though at the moment he's a bit oversaturated in terms of producing other people's albums. Read on for more terror-inducing details:From Side-Line magazine:Out this fall via Epic Records is Duran Duran's newest studio album "Red Carpet Massacre". The band just completed work on some final mixes in New York and have now returned to the UK to put the finishing touches on the album. The band currently consists of Simon Le Bon, Nick Rhodes, John Taylor and Roger Taylor . The band were joined in the studio by touring musician Dom Brown on guitar. "Red Carpet Massacre" has been recorded over the past year, starting in New York City last September with Justin Timberlake and 'I like stealing tunes' Timbaland at The Manhattan Centre and then in the UK with producer Nate 'Danja' Hills and mixer/engineer Jimmy Douglass.
