The Cure album postponed again

from side-line news:It's official, the release of the The Cure's 14th album has been postponed once again. As we reported a while back, originally due to be released in May, the release date got pushed back to October. But the release will not come out until April or May of 2008. The message was spread around via the press agency Reuters but has been confirmed to us last night. According to what Side-Line learned, Robert Smith is still recording material for what should be the 2nd version of the album to be released. Expect a limited edition double-cd mixed by Smith and a second more commercial single disc edition mixed by another producer.In more The Cure news, on Friday 10th August Sydney, Australia was the place to be for hardcore The Cure fans as the band played a secret show as part of the celebrations for MySpace.com Australia's 1st Birthday this month. The only way MySpace users could find out specific details about this event was by adding Secret Shows as a Friend to their profile. Entry to this event was only given to those who had a wristband available from a secret central Sydney location on Thursday 9th August of which details were revealed via a MySpace Bulletin on the morning of Thursday 9th August. The setlist for the night was "Plainsong", "Letter To Elise", "How Beautiful You Are", "Maybe Someday", "Signal 2 Noise", "Disintegration", "Just Like Heaven".And finally, the next batch of remastered The Cure albums will include "Disintgration", "Mixed Up" and "Wish". The release date for these gems is sometime in 2008.
