I saw a little concert last night. As I sat in the audience disgruntled by the fact that the people behind me were being obnoxiously drunken and loud, a chord was struck on the piano a few feet infront of me and a hush fell over the (majority) of the audience. Matt from Aqualung had stepped on stage without most people noticing, he just sat down and started to play. It was a song I hadn't heard ye
Ok, so free tickets are awesome, right? Well, tonight I'm seeing the Blue Man Group at our arena here in Spokane... it should be quite entertaining. I'm not sure how much I'll love it, but we shall see. Scoring free tickets to the Aqualung concert tomorrow night though, that's awesome! Thanks to Mr.Jimmy. I've heard it's a very low key concert, with just the singer, and he's playing in a restauran
Ok, I wrote this once and it all just got erased... I was sharing my excitement with you all about "commercial music". How fabulous is it to find a new (or old) song while sitting on your bum watching TV, or eating popcorn at a movie theatre. That really cool "Coke" ad pops up with a song you can't get out of your head... Well, they have a remedy to it all: adtunes.com Go there and eat your
So, I had to clean my apartment today. Well, I chose to... but it had been a while. Anywho, I found a fantastically motivating CD to clean to: the 50 First Dates soundtrack :) Who doesn't like a little reggae to groove to and take your mind off of the fact you're doing a huge task? Infact, considering I'm not into drugs, reggae music might be the closest I get to being "high". I went to a Citizen
Ok, so I'm still disgustingly new at this whole "mog" thing. I'm blaming my lack of musical advancement on the fact that I do not own an IPOD. Sad day, I know. I never thought I would want one... but now I'm really wishing I had one. Let's save up for one now, shall we? Anyway, my co-worker introduced me to the Pipettes. They are fun (and quite funny). I recommend you try them out! :)
I just bought two more CD's... I'm a fiend. I know. Any who: the new Citizen Cope is an impeccable compilation of FANTASTIC songs. Oh he's so cheeky ;) Also, the new John Mayer; always a classic. He makes me swoon. If you don't know Citizen Cope, you need to check him out NOW. I once danced with his hot and sweaty brothers at the good ole WSU while we all swayed to his reggae-ish beats. Utterly...
...thus I am still loving them: INCUBUS. I just bought their new CD. I highly recommend it. Also, that guy that sings the chorus in that Roots song: Seed 2.0. I believe his name is... oh crap. I forget it. But if you have time to research him, his voice is unbelievably velvety (velvety even a word? If not, I made it up because it fits). :)
