Dishwalla is an alternative rock band. The band's name comes from an Indian term for a person providing cable television to a neighborhood.The band members consists of Scot Alexander, Pete Maloney, J.R Richards, George Pendergest, Rodney Browning and Jim Wood. Rodney claimed the band took the name out of a Wired magazine article, according in a Vox interview.
