To Alla Ya'll Music Heads...

I'm new to this MOG world and have been wandering around, looking at folks musical tastes and I have to say that I wish there had been a venue like this for me when I was in high school 400 years ago. You see, I was A Rare Breed back in the day; an African-American........METAL HEAD!! My fam and peeps used to holla so much shit at me for listening to music that "black folks don't listen to". So when I see the varied tastes of everybody from all ethnic backgrounds, just diggin' good ass music regardless of genre, it just makes me feel all warm and fuzzy, ya'll. Thank you.

    Sturgell says I have a few friends that grew up in situations like yours. It's fucked up and silly to look at the world like that, but it's was their generations why of dealing with shit. I was lucky in a way. My Momma don't dance and my Daddy don't rock n roll, so if I was listening to Van Morrison or Mayhem, it was almost all the same to them. Provocative post. Reminds me how much the 'generation gap' can hurt.
