Crowd Control

Well the exam is done, and I'm feeling confident and also quite relaxed. I now have my weekends and evenings back. That pile of vinyl is demanding to be transfered onto Ipod - and it will happen! However for now I'm drifting back, listening to some live Black Flag and also the Jesus Lizard...Found this on You Tube and its quite appropriate for my memories of a great and unique band. Having seen them at Glasgow I can confirm their awesome live reputation and the singers remarkable nack for staying in time with the song despite being down the other end of the venue, tossed around by eager fans.I'll always remember the Glasgow gig, as looking around beforehand there were some fearsome spectators. You can often tell a crowd from the t-shirts they wear. Most of these guys were sporting big black, black flag, husker du etc tops. The old-timers had come out to see the Lizard.Another memorable moment was when the first note was struck - singer straight into the crowd. That's a front man, no posing around onstage, straight into the thick of it. I also remember the look of the guitarist who was someone I don't think it was worthwhile arguing with, looking at or god forbid, stepping on his part of the stage. Terrifying musician, but the whole band could play.About 2 minutes 30 seconds in, you'll see why this clip is all about the Lizard experience. La's write up soon!
