this is the end of the innocence. One of the most beautiful songs ever written. Don gets a bad rap after he left the Eagles... but none of their songs could ever hit down in the heart like he could as a solo artist. His music is one of the best things I remember on the radio from my childhood.

dermahrk says It's obvious, after all the solo releases that came out post-breakup, that he was the most talented member of the group: the best writer with the most stunning voice. Although I must admit I have not returned to the Eagles oeuvre - I don't think it has aged well - I still really like Don Henley. Yes, he sure does get a bad rap..all this "Don Henley must die" crap.

Jonh Ingham says Building The Perfect Beast was a great album, and I don't like The Eagles or anything else this man has done. 'I Will Not Go Quietly' has got me through many a pissed-at-the-world state and 'Boys Of Summer' is a near-perfect song in every respect.
