McCain & Palin: Lying Sacks of Shit or Just Plain Stoopid?
-
Artist:

Some folks inherit star spangled eyes,
Ooh, they send you down to war, Lord,
And when you ask them, "How much should we give?"
Ooh, they only answer more! more! more!
John McCain claims Sarah Palin did not ask Congress for earmarks in her role as Governor, but she did indeed asked for $200M - more per capita than any other state in the union. Governor Palin claims she told the federal government "thanks, but no thanks" for the Bridge to Nowhere appropriation, but this was long after she'd endorsed the earmark, and after public embarassment over the project had scuttled the funding. McCain's ads have repeatedly misquoted and misconstrued quotes from Senator Obama, Senator Biden, The Wall Street Journal and even FactCheck.org. Palin claims that Alaska produces 20% of domestic energy; the actual number? 3.5%. McCain claims to be a maverick, and not to have reversed any of his positions, despite shifting directions on offshore oil drilling, immigration and tax cuts, to name just a few. McCain labels others as "elites," when he (a) was an officer in the navy, (b) was a U.S. Representative for 4 years, (b) has been a U.S. senator for 22 years, (c) owns 8 homes, (d) is married to an heiress with an annual income of $400,00 and a net worth of more than $100M.
Whether or not you agree with their programs and positions, it's hard to excuse their evil, lying ways.

"John McCain claims Sarah Palin did not ask Congress for earmarks in her role as Governor, but she did indeed asked for $200M"
Governors have nothing to do with securing Pork. Congresspeople do that.
But hey, the world knows all about the media's attempt to destroy this woman, just as you do, and by an' large they think,,,WTF? I know that is causing apoplexy on the left, but that apoplexy is just one sign of the very serious disconnect with middle America that the left has nurtured.
You remember middle America, Right? Those bitter little people clinging to guns and religion? The ones who would get up and walk out on any preacher who would use his pulpit to spew garbage and bile? You remember them, right? The people who do not scorn working mothers?
But listen, you keep piling on with this irrelevent drivel, Its driving people to McCain-Palin in droves.
You remember Middle America, right? Yeah, the dumb ones who can be fooled by a middle name? The dumb ones who can be duped by FOX news?
Well, they're talkin'. And they ain't singin' your song. They've heard it, they don't care.
I appreciate intelligent political discourse. "Lying sacks of shit or just plain stoopid (sic)" doesn't qualify.
There's an ad being run by the oil industry on local radio here which states that America produces 70% of it's home heating oil, and the country we import the majority of the difference from is Canada. I know we produce all our own Natural Gas.
That being said, I'd like to know why we're still paying OPEC prices for domestic product.

State authorities, such as Governor Palin, make requests to their senators and congressional representatives for specific appropriations. Governor (and Mayor) Palin's record on this is well documented. She asked for and was granted federal earmarks of pet projects for both her city and state. Senator McCain's denials (or feigned lack of knowledge) of such doesn't erase her record.
You may not care, but many will regard the lying and hypocritical sloganeering as illuminating of both Senator McCain's and Governor Palin's characters. Many on the coasts, many in the mid-west, many in the south and north. More importantly, should McCain-Palin win, you will find yourself terrifically disappointed as without a primary to win, he returns to his RINO ways -- deceit works both way, you know.

Then by all means, sit back and enjoy the Orwellian rhetoric of the Republican spin machine.
I can't speak to home heating oil, but the overall U.S. consumption of oil is reported to be 21 million barrels/day, and our production is 7 million barrels/day. So we're producing 33% of our overall consumption. See the statistics according to BP here.
