Wow, I can't believe I get to be the first to write something about Dixon here. Dixon is from the South Carolina side of Charlotte, but went to school in Chapel Hill where he was in the band Arrogance as bass player and singer, and met Mitch Easter and Chris Stamey, among others. Arrogance hung around for several years without much commercial success and Dixon turned his hand to producing: R.E.MT

Like Hinterland, check out Spooky Ghost

a short note for fans of the band Hinterland. Guitarist Gerry Leonard has released a record as Spooky Ghost called The Light Machine. It's not a Hinterland sound, but there are sounds in common. Leonard's guitar can also be heard on Duncan Sheik's "Daylight" and "Humming" CDs.
