Coldplay

To be honest, I had only listened to Coldplay's singles or "Don't Panic" off the Gardenstate soundtrack. Just recently I decided to get there 3 albums since I liked their sound but just never really sat down to listen to a whole CD. Right now I'm stuck on Parachutes. Its such an amazing record. I mean from beginning to end, their simple sound with Chris Martins vocals are just amazing. No catchy guitar hooks, No incredibly weird instrumentation, just a ridiculous amount of catchy piano chord progressions and a mans voice that has to be one of the most original sounds I have heard. And I love that they are not scared to write a song that lasts for 7 minutes. Now a days, when you hear a song lasts 7 minutes, it automatically sucks. Not too many people are able to write a catchy 3 minute song, let alone a 7 minute epic. To be able to keep someone interested in listening after that 3 minute mark in todays world is hard. That being said, if you like Coldplay's singles believe me, go buy their CD....It will amaze you at what you have been missing.
