so i promised i would mog more, and not write about non music related things such as sweet potato fries, altho, they make me happy like music does so there. i was lookin around and notice my playlist thing that is from my itunes... how does it know? anyway, i think it's sort of embarassing that there's so much kidzbop on there. what can i say, my 8 year old loves it. well actually i'm kinda happy to say that i think she's growing out of it and getting into the originals of stuff, i really don't mind fergie and akon, and fray that much. it grows on me and we here the songs so much over and over on the pop stations that it becomes part of the woven tapestry of our days and memories together. we have "fergie" moments where we talk about her and fergalicious comes on and we laugh and think we're magic(of course with it being played a million times a day that's not too weird but the kids don't know that). we imitate that weird baby boy da prince song, that's fun. i catch them singing, that's cute. yeah so right now that's what i'm listening to, kiss fm, but what about that Wreckless Eric song from Stranger than Fiction....beautiful.

  1. Tony Scalzo says The other day C said to me that she loves the Everly Brothers. She says they're a great band and they have a song called "Claudette" and a song called "Poor Jenny" about a guy who neglects his date and she gets thrown in jail! She just loves that. I was with the kids at Taco Cabana and G sang "My Humps" word for word and I was disturbed. But still impressed.

  2. ghostofunder says A friend posted awhile back that you'd think he was a classical music lover based on his playlist when actually that's what he plays when his youngest son takes a nap. Recently I've been sending the Wee Hairy Beasties (Bloodshot artists) CD to my friends with kids. Did I tell you that the mini stereo I took to Austin won't play CDRs? Now that I have a coffee pot (thanks!) the next thing on my list is a stereo for the condo. Who cares about furniture when you don't have music?
