Bad Liver And A Broken Heart (In Lowell)

I am listening to Tom Waits and only Tom Waits. Is it just me or is "Bad Liver and a Broken Heart" the saddest song ever? Maybe..it's just Tom's voice.

Parker catalano says I just got Beautiful Maladies: The Island Years and it's such an incredible album that I instantly fell for Tom. I had heard of how original and ruff his voice was, but was worried that I wouldn't like it. Nope. Waits is the shit.

Anonymous says Aw shit - this is a fantastic song. And yes, one of the saddest. Sad in a kind of debauched 'oh-christ-i-fucked-up" way. Plus it has one of the best rhymes EVER in it with its asbestos/rest us assured.
