The fresh kill

My weekend was pretty sweet, even though its wed. and not posting about it till now. I put moggers first so that maybe my words would help ease the pain.(hope it help ya'll) Anyhow we made the trek to our usual hunting grounds.
the vast desolate lands of the north where the conifers run wild and are often hard to bring down.
Alas we spot a wild pack and are quickly in pursuit.
The women folk make ready with the supplies and gear. But the large aggressive males are already upon us.
My son makes a break for it to grab the laser saw.
Looks like it might be too late, They've been surrounded!
Nooo! Man down, man down!!!
In last second desparation my daughter grabs the last snow grenade in hopes to save us all.
Quick thinking pulled us all out of harms way, here we are with the fresh kill. The wounded lay all around us. Boy was that close, I thought for sure we were gonners. Brought this one down with my bare hands I did.

Looks and sounds like good times. Where is this?
Its just north of the Lehigh Valley in eastern PA. Been going last 5 years now great place and the Santa is awsome. Full real white beard and all.
Dude it looks like you barely escaped with your life.
NIce, I used to live in Jersey and would drive through that section of country every time I went home to visit. It is beautfiul country I can attest to that.
I yeah a close one for sure too bad shrapnel from the snow grenade hit my wife and dropped her immediatly, she'll recover. she lost some speach for awhile.
Jersey native too, huh? Where abouts?
Lovely post... gorgeous photos... beautiful bairns....:-)
Great post! .... gonna go this weekend for the tree.... some talk of snow out here (Pacific Northwest) but I doubt it.
North Jersey. Morris County. We were about a half an hour outside the city, my wife worked in Manhatten, and she also worked out on Long Island for a while, love that commuter life. I worked in Parsippany, and also in Morristown. Back in the day...
No effin way! I was born in Morristown but grew up in Dover then moved to Blairstown in Warren Co. That's so cool.
Oh man I love the PacNW, its beautiful out there.
I know them all well. We lived in Boonton in a house way up on the hill. Buddy I mean it was straight down, too.
Oh yeah, the concrete steps to our house in Dover seemed to go on infinitely. Almost get a little vertigo. I miss the metro area sometime but I know its not the same.
Woo loved your walk in the snow! We don't have any left, but it was good while it lasted. Your little ones are adorable :)
