For no other reason than I love this song. Never followed the band but years ago when I got a hold of this song on a complilation given to me by a good friend who had been a manager at a big chain record store, I couldn't stop listening. The memory of a young Gene Wilder as Willy Wonka and the great justice the Smoking Popes do this song, dammit man it's just pure sunshine. Which is funny because most of the things I listen too are pretty dark. The song is just so feel good you can't deny it. Maybe one day it will be on my Ipod and I will burst into song in the middle of the convenience store while getting my coffee. Wonder if anyone would join in, or would I be escorted out by the men in white?

it sounded so different that i first didn't know what the willy wonka tie in was...off to a slow start here this morning. what band is that girl in? i never knew any of the kids went on to form bands.

it's really her in the band!? no waaay! i know the band but really didn't think she would name her band after her character. that really was a no brainer, doh!
