WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

Dissapointed, so pass me another

Posted 10 months ago

Hmm, I guess I would have to say that its like opening an empty box. I am so consumed by the comment/post aspect of Mog that I never really ventured past that point. So seeing as how I have more free time then usual I decided to check out Moggers like me. That would be cool. New and different people to talk to and see different ideas and points of view. A myriad of personalities were waiting for me at the touch of a button. My heart raced and I was full of excitement and my hand trembled as it struggled to push in the button on the mouse. Almost like Christmas morning. Alas, I was super f*%&$#@N' dissapointed. Like an empty box. The packaging was nice but nothing was inside. Oh lots of people. Yeah, lots of people who haven't logged on in years. One even logged on recently to say they will Mog no more. Mog no more? Are you kidding? This isn't some fad or something to pass the time because you are bored! Its not something that goes out of fashion! You get a pass if you lose your internet connection or death in the family, or divorce or something. But really, give up the Mog. Not a chance in hell. I don't care if no one ever comments on my posts. I'll keep going. You'll have to drag me out kicking and screaming and weilding a firearm that holds an empty clip. I'm going to have another drink and break some glass.

yay!  that's the spirit!  i'm sad to hear that you were matched up with moggers who no longer hang out here.  some of my fave moggers of all time have been away from mog for a long time, but some of them came back recently.  so there's hope yet, that these people are on hiatus and will return someday.

horray for people who MOG 4 Life!

Now that I have sobered a bit I can see how mixed a reaction a post of this nature would generate. If I alienate some, well so be it. If I am cheered on by others, excellent. Can't blame a man for loyalty.

You're all missing the point, which is that dear G here was feeling unsatisfied with our company, and tried to start seeing other MOGgers. I say block him! mwuahahhahah!

"Matching" technology is still inexact and scattershot. MOG is no different. I used to get "Recommendation" e-mails from MOG about tracks that "Moggers like me" recommend. Invariably, I hated most of them.

dermahrk- Ya know other than the alcohol fueled rampage I guess it was like I took it personally. This is a great site with awesome people. Hate to see it be in danger of getting taken away. No more beer and Mog. Makes Jack an enraged boy.

Interesting. Posting even without any feedback, while many mourn that very fact.

I need to mull over that point sto try and understand that point.

Why does a writer write again?

Souly to write, or the drive behind any artist using any medium to convey an idea or emotion or merely to imitate life. Some can't help it. It just comes out. Passion for such things is sometimes the only inspiration needed. And the Vodka didn't help matters much.
