entertain us we're fucked

so last night was confusing. played a gig at a party we were invited to by music industry types who are kind of into us, saying they want to help us go places. drugs and lots of them. we're just not used to it. who has time or money for that when you're working your days and rehearsing and gigging your nights? not my band. its all go at the moment, no play. anyway i was driving, so no rock n roll antics here. but we were all left a bit weirded out by the scene that isn't about music and yet controls so much of what music is in the mainstream (and i include the indie scene too, its all about scene). so weird. we don't really know where we fit. we're terrified of being swallowed whole by this industry. the closer they get to us hter more we want to run.on a brighter note i am going to see Wayne Shorter at the barbican soon. way hey.

  4. Anna says Metric are coming to Greece?! Yay for me! And I think you might need to find that thin, almost transparent line, that seperates conciously going with the flow from rolling over in dirt. Use them instead of let them use you.
