John Lennon's killer Mark David Chapman was up for parole again this month (Crazy how someone can kill someone in the US of A and someday be released from prison.) It was Chapman's fifth time in front of a parole board. He was denied and will remain in New York's Attica Correctional Facility for at least two more years, where Chapman, now 53, has already served 28 years behind bars.

Dave Matthews saxophonist Leroi Moore passed away Tuesday afternoon at at Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center in Los Angeles. Leroi, an unreplaceable part of the Dave Matthews Band sound, died of complications stemming from an ATV accident this past June. Moore had been hospitalized in June with a punctured lung and broken ribs following the accident, on his farm outside Charlottesville, Virginia. This video is very old school, but was one of my favorites when I started listening to electronica, and warp artists in general. Tom's cramped studio setting really conveys a warm sense of comfort to me as a musician, although I am sure he was hermetic during his tape reel days, and really exhibits how he was able to make albums like Hard Normal Daddy. Founding member and saxophoist LeRoi Moore died Tuesday afternoon in Los Angeles due to complications resulting from a June ATV accident. The accident occurred on June 30 on Moore's farm in Charlottesville, Virginia and left him with a broken rib and punctured lung. Moore was sent to Los Angeles to undergo intensive rehabilitation therapy, but was hospitalized again and passed away at Hollywood Presbyterian Hospital.
