Bruce Springsteen has written the closing track for new Darren Aronofsky-directed film 'The Wrestler'. The movie stars Mickey Rourke as Randy 'The Ram' Robinson: a veteran wrestler struggling to make a living in the ring. Writing on the Darren Aronofsky blog, the director said: "Bruce Springsteen wrote a beautiful original song for the closing the film. "Called 'The Wrestler', it is a wonderful acoustic piece. Makes me choke up every time I hear it. He really captured t... MORE
The new Fall Out Boy song is here and it's catchy, original and a lot of fun. It's called "I Don't Care." Frankly, I don't care if you don't think that MCMB should be covering it. We've always liked FOB but it seems that FOB has catered to the young and masses so it's not "cool" anymore. But this song is damn cool and SHOULD be listened to. Listen to: "I Don't Care"

"We’d love it if more festivals were like this - all small and lively" commented Matt Tong of Bloc Party mid Saturday afternoon before their sensational headlining set at Hydro Connect 2008. It had been threatening to rain all afternoon, but thankfully it held off long enough for us to have a quick chat with [...]

. Not long ago, an unsolicited DVD arrived at The Residents' studio. Since the location of the group's private inner sanctum is a closely-guarded secret, the appearance of the disc was definitely regarded as a little strange. Other than the occasional piece of junk mail, nothing ever arrived at The Residents' intimate work space without an invitation. But the envelope containing the disc bore a familiar return address, so, after first ignoring it for a few weeks, The Resi... MORE

Jeremy Jay is tall and young. He grew up and still resides in Angeltown, California, along with his other three bandmates. Our handsome, alabaster young gent has just put out his debut album on K Records. It sounds like the trees hanging over streets at night, streetlight dappled through. He likes diners, rides in cars, romance, Buddy Holly, show tunes, socks, people, cats, and more. Based around a fairly stark working of piano, guitar, bass, and drums,... MORE

MetalSucks recently had the opportunity to have an all-too-brief chat with Underoath bassist Grant Brandell at the Rockstar Mayhem Festival’s stop at Nassau Coliseum on Long Island. The inevitable happened on Tuesday night, when Death Magnetic hit the leak wire. The very next day, Lars responded on a radio show in California, claiming, "Listen, we’re ten days from release. I mean, from here, we’re golden. If this thing leaks all over the world today or tomorrow, happy days. Happy days. Trust me. [...]

In this season's political climate, why WOULDN'T you show your support for the presidential candidate of your choice. The National have quietly voiced their allegiance with a new Barack Obama/Mr. November T-Shirt, available on their website. Maybe the song being referenced is not the most politically correct in The National's catalog, but it does have that certain "je ne sais quoi" to it. "I WON'T fuck us over, I'm MR. NOVEMBER! I'm MR. NOVEMBER!!" ---------------... MORE
