8 stars So I’m going to fess up. While I consider myself the world’s biggest Dylan fan, and none of you pretenders out there can ever make me think otherwise, that doesn’t mean I love every note he’s ever played or sung. I dug this exchange. Seriously, they pulled the gloves off and beat the snot outta each other. Barack did let McCain take pot shots and McCain kept them coming. Barack kicked McCain's ass. For what it's worth John McCain is great in this venue. I could listen to him all day. His ducks were in a row and he became an 'O' seeking missile. As an old and long-term Oasis fan (that sounds like I have a disease of some sort, but I don't! ;P ), I have used many positive adjectives to characterize their music down the years. Coldplay have revealed the tracklist for their forthcoming EP, Prospekt's March, an extension of the Viva La Vida studio sessions that wasn't completed by the May deadline the band had on the album. The EP, due in November, includes four new songs and the second part of the Viva La Vida track "Life In Technicolor." Looks like that Jim James benefit for Obama scheduled for tonight in Chicago won't be happening. The My Morning Jacket frontman slipped, fell and hit his head at last night's show in Iowa City. Injuries have forced James to not only cancel the Schubas gig tonight benefiting Democratic Presidential Candidate Barack Obama, but also to postpone the MMJ shows in Chicago later this week. I was listening to a 9/30 edition of a WNYC Soundcheck podcast featuring a live performance by Damien Jurado playing songs from Caught in the Trees.
