seriously i turn around for a second (to get the door, for those who recall the "food delivery" post) and what do i find when i come back? Coachella. an outage. a strike. all in the one time i disappear, never mind that i've been here for over a year. what's that about?
i had this string of posts mulling over mid-career crises and, well, i was kidding you not. i did really have 'em culminating with a meltdown however followed by a new-ish chapter of life. 'tis true: when you hit rock bottom, there is nowhere to go but up. thus: i am about to forego financial security in order to chase after a silly youthful dream - ask no more; this is all i can say for now lest i jinx "the dream".
this silly youthful somethingie requires more than a bit of real sacrifice, e.g. far less mogging, for at least a year. i hope y'all bear with me during this time, i promise i am just here 'though more quietly. already, in the first month, i sacrificed - i abstained from buying (or spending time downloading) any new music. youch, it hurts but just because i wasn't listening to new music didn't mean i wasn't rocking out to old music - some of you were born in the nineties so scuze me for calling it "old".

Ilay, I share your sense of utter surprise. I was on the road for a couple of weeks, and I was just flabbergasted to read about all the outage problems & the juvenile strike mayhem. A good time to be away, I guess.
As for new music: the new Secret Shine record (All The Stars) should be right up your dream pop alley.
As for dreams: don't chase them so much as make them come true. All the best for that!
