DVD-ready in case of drought

If: One more song is one more excuse to keep breathing for one more year.
Then: I stay awake any other night, either way.

Fol Chen

Fol Chen
Based out of Highland Park, CA. Signed to Asthmatic Kitty.

Who? More afflictions of the heart ensconced in electropop somewhere between clapping and praying.

Whither? "We are cryptic and joyful and we would like you to dance."

Wherefore? The singles Cable TV, The Believers, and No Wedding Cake came out in late 2008, preluding the release of debut full-length Part I: John Shade, Your Fortune's Made in February 2009.

The Big Pink

The Big Pink
Based out of London. Unsigned, current single released by House Anxiety.
www.myspace.com/musicfromthebigpink

Who? More permission to spit in the eye of all measured distances of analgesics against shoegaze.

Whither? The superduo of Robbie Furze (Alec Empire, Panic DHH) and Milo Cordell (owner of Merok Records - Crystal Castles, Telepathe, The Teenagers).

Wherefore? Neill mogged about The Big Pink's Too Young to Love/Crystal Visions 7"; of course, he did. You must go listen to the un-remixed track - http://mog.com/Neill/blog/237062.

ZZZ

ZZZ
Based out of Melbourne. Signed to Bang Gang 12 Inches.

Who? More reinforcement that synth pop holds the truth about inertia, with voice or without.

Whither? Not to be mistaken with the band zZz from Amsterdam. Yes, letter case suddenly matters.

Wherefore? The Bang Gang 12 Inches Presents Lion 12" came out this December, including remixes by France's Breakbot, Tokyo's The Lowbrows, and Australia's own Bag Raiders.

Only half-digested your list post, but when I saw the Asthmatic Kitty tag I could not resist. Damn, I love about everything I hear outta that stable, this no exception! The ominousnous does not scatter interest, the horns/glitch combo is like Kinks for a new millenia.
Wichigotta? The Big Pink remix put Neon Neon in my head almost  immed. - before I read the parened "Delorean" tag...is there some connection? Neill's page lent no clue...
"zzz" did not somnambulate, yet was a bit shy of lak's prop (for me) oh well, I was never a big lover of Walkmen anyway.
Thanks for the entertainment value...I think I've sat on this page for three hours now, let someone else have their turn :)

I liked "Too Young to Love" remixed better than the original 'cause it talked to my feet not just my brain.  Thanks!

I meant it would have been perfect music for walking down the high school hallways of (either) the school in My Bodyguard or Fame.
