song of the moment / Lyrics Thursday / vent

Artist:
Wednesday, the twenty eighth of April, registered the hottest day of the year in Metro Manila, the record heat precipitated by El Niño. I was just trying to pull through, like any day but doggedly. I had jobs to do. I had chores to do. There was trouble in the land of MOG and Littlemp3 (thank you, MusicRX). I was too tired. I had barely recovered from a toxic Tuesday. Heat was the panic room.
And then Dry Out came up on iTunes DJ and it was like water.
So much for my shot that I thought I'd find. So much for my chance. You know it's not what I had in mind. I need a little time to dry out. I need a little time to dry out, just a little more time to find out what I'm waiting for. So much for that hand that I thought I'd see. So much for that day I take a stand, if it's not in store for me. Now I've watched myself stall through some kind of rationale. I've waited for spring, I've waited for fall and I'm waiting now.
I don't suppose I need to repeat that Cincinatti, OH's Bad Veins is really Benjamin Davis (vocals, guitar, keyboards) currently in collaboration with Sebastien Schultz (drums) as the second official band member. The self-titled debut album out on Dangerbird Records made noise in 2009 and was one of the things that got me returning to civilization at some point last year to check out. Phew, am I thankful now.
Plus, I just noticed that I had made 333 posts before this one. W00t.

333, that's half of the sign of the beast! Oh you ARE evil aren't you? ;P Liking these guys alot & not heard of them either!
Btw, I went & saw Fol Chen live in SF Tues. night w/Liars. They have a new album coming out in July. They were great, gonna do a post about it in the next few days.
Aug, you just saw Fol Chen + Liars? YOU are evil. ;d
these guys have more upbeat songs that sound New Order-ish at times. unless i am mistaken, the breakthrough single was Gold and Warm.
and i meant to say earlier to everyone that i promise to reply to comments soon and i'm sorry i haven't yet.
I thank you for leading people to my post, so hopefully people can continue to upload mp3s. Here is some new simplified Google code I came up with that should work for everyone, as long as the code stays together when you post it.
Nice tunes! Thanks God for music on You Tube!!
August! She's only 1/2 evil!
Music sooths the soul, raises the spirits and quells the heat. Where would we be without it?
Amber, that's what I meant to say, hehe.
ilay, I checked out BV's myspace page & they had Gold & Warm posted as well as a few others. Good stuff. And yes, I'm evil like that!
I miss hot days, but will get them soon enough as summer comes to minnesota. Love the picture as well, nice backdrop as I listened to the music
so, here you are hanging out in my backyard again. what'd I tell ya about makin' all that racket?? these are way better than likeable, and just what I'll need after the next two soaked days. I'm really diggin' the smashed up vocal sound and dramatic presentation - I'll be watchin' for their homecoming!!
Rex, you are MOG's resident mp3 embedding guru.
as i was saying to Mogger cpetersonart3, i got so exasperated that day by the thought that many of these mp3 webhosts will be short-lived, so i made me a quick m4v video of the song i wanted to share, joined YouTube and hit upload, and there we were.
Amber, aww. i am 1/2 evil and 1/2 crazy. :D indeed, music quells the heat, and if need be, turns it up!
Aug, i need to take back the New Order reference, i was thinking of a whole other artist when i said it, eek. all this music's confusing me! but yeah, these guys are good stuff.
Kev, i wish i could say i miss hot days but they're all i've got! i was just watching a movie on HBO, i forget what, set in Minnesota where the seriously cold weather there was a big part of the story and i wondered how long your summers are. well, gosh, enjoy it when it comes.
Scott, hah! all these talented bands out of Ohio ... whaddaya feed your kids there? glad to be hanging out in your backyard but i promise to be nicer next time and contribute to the family dinner. now catch that homecoming and return here to tell the tale.
You must've been watching Fargo by the Coen Brothers! How could you forget that movie?
And fo' shame for making an inaccurate NO ref, haha. I'm sure you do get confused w/all the new artists you find!
