Monday (The Glitch Mob Remix) : Nalepa : Flatlands : 6:29it is two hours 'til my Thursday. moggers Oatmeal and Dzendvokh have been arping the night (post links below - until i figure out just what was truncating my post - evil!) along with suggesting a space dub day. in my confusion (i am flakey like that), i decided to switch my Hiphop Thursday and Wired Wednesday posts, and that's that.my crunk junk of the moment is being supplied by the glitch hop of The Glitch Mob, the DJ collective of OOAH, edIT, Boreta, Kraddy, who are infamously from L.A. you probably catch them collaborating all over the place.i mistagged the cut on post deliberately (because i can). it is a remix of a track from the 2008 album of fellow Los Angelesian Steve Nalepa (he's my WW so more tomorrow). listening to the cut on comment, an OOAH original, it's clear they can tame the animal if messing with other peeps's choons and get glitch-wild when left to themselves, either of which i dig big.linkage:http://www.myspace.com/theglitchmobhttp://www.theglitchmob.com

  9. brand X says In my experience the truncation occurs when a tag spans more than one paragraph, so the workaround is to close tags at the end of the paragraph and reopen them at the start of the new paragraph. Don't know if that will work, but it has worked for me in the past.

  10. poebegone says gratitudes, Matt, i'll remember that. i had a bunch of parentheses and greater-than and less-than signs up there, and had the paragraph italicized, so something failed to catch up with me. well, this wasn't going to be the glitch post for nothing.

  11. vannatta says ARP Instruments, Inc. was also a synth manufacturer, that made some awesome synths... like ARP Omni - classic.
    Permalink posted 05/28/2008
  12. poebegone says back to arp! yup, Van, thanks, i got derailed there. the above link goes to a page, a poorly written page since it is from good ol' Wikipedia, that does broach and link to ARP Instruments and to arpeggio. that being said, i've gone on record in Amiel's post to say that i wouldn't know "arp" from Shinola if it stared me right in the face. keep arping until we get it. (:

  17. Oatmeal says Yeah, I listened now. I am working as an intern so I do this self censorship thing, but hell I ain't getting paid so I am going to listen to some glitch in the office. Hells yeah. I will put some space dub up later, but I am digging the glitch. Check the Jackson post above for some arp meets glitch action!

  18. Oatmeal says That reggae one is quite good, kind of like some dubstep. Now I guess I see the space dub tie in.

  19. Bartleby says I agree with most of the respondents above. Both cuts are high-octane crunk-charged tunage. Regarding your truncated post, MOG deactivates most of the standard html tags that you may use when composing. As Brand X's said, it's worth keeping it all simple and preferably in 1 continuous block. (Also using asterisk or double ? or other shortcuts can cause truncation) -- see this little entry of mine on the safest way to compose on MOG (it's in the forum, please log in first before clicking on link)

  21. scotfree says Still unsure whether Wednesday or Thursday of which warmish mug-month, he pulled to the end of the gravel drive and flipped off the player. "Glitch" wasn't a selectable in the pull-down, so where to file; euro-trance? synthpop? porngroove? (??) Didn't matter. He flipped over an empty tomato crate in the truck bed, balancing the laptop on a sturdy corner of the rusted metal frame. Flicked the release and the screen up with a practiced fingertip. "Now, that was...inspiring" The screen flickered to life, as did his fingertips... The chirp of the crickets was joined, then drowned, by a more electronic pulse (matt john-landing)

  22. poebegone says Lizzie, them choons help ya quit sittin' on your ARP. ;p madrid spacestation spain, ditto on the glitch party still having an afterparty inside my head. ps- dammit, i WANT your username. Amiel, hells yeah, anarchy at the workplace! ;D i do love the reggae one, too, and it's definitely spacier. thanks for the links, yo. arp meets glitch action? eek i can't wait. i'm bringing iced drinks.

  23. poebegone says Michael, let me tell ya that entry of yours has been famously endorsed to me by many a mogger. i'll give it a read, thanks. the culprit i think was an opening and closing "(<" but you were right - keep it simple, ultimately. Mr. Knifey, back at yaaaa! scott, that is some inspired writing you got darr! aw file 'em all under hiphop. is porngroove an actual genre? how fun. so that's an Arp... thank Matt John for more glitch, now the afterparty just rebooted.

  24. scotfree says Well, crap, I can't play the red dots at work anymore, so I'm makin' up for missin' all the early repartee. I use Audacity to record from the web, and it's got a pull down of 100 or so genres you can tag an mp3 with - "porngroove" is in there! Wall Of Voodoo did some work like that early on :) . That's an Arp by generic "synthesizer" def from the soundlab Reason . glad for the reboot, gravel 'tween the toes. I'll be by your today's post after you turn the lights out.

  26. poebegone says scott, are swf widgets and such being filtered by management? i didn't realize that. i thought that was a temporary ‘glitch’ in your job before. cuz that sux big-time. man, i need to educate myself on too many things! arp, now porngroove. i mean, i can’t die, i need to live forever. Aug, dayum yeah, that be some funky vibage, too, innit? glad ya dig!

  27. scotfree says Ahh, they've taken a pretty aggressive approach, and once something gets identified as a forbidden type of stream (which I think is what happened - instead of swf widget, it got nailed as an mp3 stream). I'm just glad it did not nail the whole site. I can still comment and watch vids, and post mp3's (is that not crazy??!) Live forever? Now there's a concept of Qabalistic interest. Just stick around this spheros, willya? I'd miss ya if you jump ahead.. ;)

  29. poebegone says scott, i'll take forever to process those thoughts. i'm still only on "Qabalistic". colin, are you stalking scott? ;p
