WE DO THE MASHED POTATO AND THE FUNKY CHICKEN

Tahiti 80 /FF

Posted about 1 year ago
not funk but funky. from four French dudes, three of whom sing, in English. from a 2002 sophomore album filled with electro-synth-soul-pop deliciousness. (more on Tahiti 80 in a separate post sometime soon.)

  2. scotfree says Like it. Sometimes, these sweet-as-cottoncandy pop bands hit a real soft spot. This is a nice wakeup call. Reminds me somewhat of Soul Decision's "Faded" in texture and substance. You know that one?

  8. fistula spume says Love Tahiti 80. They did a great mix of a Cubismo Grafico track that I posted a while back. They have a nice smooth sound. I got a couple albums but I just checked and they put out more than I thought they did. Great stuff.
